you didn't pass statistics in college, did you? Most riders are men and the average man is 6'. That means 50% of all men are 6' or taller

I did actually. And did quite well. It just never occurred to me how many dudes are almost exactly 6' tall. Apparently only 14% of men in the US are 6' or taller so I stand corrected.you didn't pass statistics in college, did you?
Right, but I'm not talking of the population of the U.S. I'm talking of the population of U.S. DH riders, which seem to have a mean distinctly above 5'9" (or whatever the national average male height is).Average male height in the US and 99% of other countries ia quite a bit below 6'
Geez, you little guys are picky. 5'10", 6', whatever. It just seems that if all bike manufacturers make frames for smaller people that it would make sense to make them for taller people as well. A small fits a smaller dude but a large fits an average height dude. WTF?Average male height in the US and 99% of other countries ia quite a bit below 6'
It works but a long stem and a wide bar on a steep trail will feel really bad if you overdo it.Maybe they just assume that taller people will use wider bars or longer stems
RainG - So how did it go this weekend at the race on the new steed?Just did my first run on the Undead and I'm in love.

It sounds like everybody is running their Jumpression at 11!I got some more time on the bike at Kicking Horse and Mt 7 on the weekend. Man can this thing jump. Doubling over stuff is as easy as getting off the brakes and a little hop.
What are you guys running for settings?
