Trying to write a conditional format, such that:

if $A26=$E$4, $A26:$E26 turn amber
if $A26/=$E$4, nothing happens

I need this for rows 26-54. Any ideas?

Killing myself trying to figure this out, and excel 07 sucks.

I'm trying to write a conditional formatting equation on an array... not what you're saying...

No guru needed. Is easy.

Select the row you want to turn amber (not the whole row, just the cells you want to change). Home tab, select Conditional Formatting, Manage Rules. Create a new rule.

Select "Use a formula"

In the formula, box, enter "=$A$26=$E$4" and choose your formatting.

Profit.
