I am not shure if the ibis 29er ripley could be a good xc bike
I am looking the BMC fourstoke FS 02, or the Giant Advance

I have ridden both and IMHO it's not even close: the Ripley is a better bike all around. Same or similar weight, plusher, climbs better, handles equally well. I felt much more confident in everything the trail threw at me on the Ripley. I even tried the new BMC Trailfox and vastly preferred the Ripley. Oh, and the FourStroke I tested? $2500 more than the Ripley I ordered.
