Ibex is low-quality brand, with no local bike shop dealers but instead direct-to-mail, usually the first sign of a low-quality brand.

While shops vary in personality and philosophy, all of them want to assemble and service the highest quality bikes available, because the better bikes are easier to work on.

As for geometry comparison, you should put the link for the model you want to compare to. There are many "experts" on this site, but most of us won't do the legwork you should do yourself.

Finally, "is it hard to put the thing together and do u need to do a lot of adjustments??" The average home mechanic might struggle because of the low quality of this bike, there could be poor frame alignment or component damage which affects the installation or adjustments.

Some mechanics might be able to diagnose this correctly but most do not have special tools, like taps and frame alignment gauges, to fix it.

However, if you are an experienced mechanic, the assembly should take you an hour, with just basic adjustments.

On the other hand, I bought an Ibex Alpine 440 (24") for my son, who was 8 at the time, primarily because it was the only kid's bike then that could be purchased with "real" components. Although the frame is quite heavy it has worked well and has held up nicely for him. There were no quality issues whatsoever with the bike. It came to the door step well packaged, assembly was minimal, plus it included a tool kit and bottle of touch-up paint. Unfortunately I have no experience with their adult sized bikes, but his speaks well for their product.
