I bought one of those cheapo $10 cases and threw an extra drive in it. Maybe not the most reliable, but it seems to work well enough and has lasted two and a half years so far.
Yeah unless you are connecting to systems that don't have USB 2.0 and firewire is your only option, USB only will save you a lot of money and its a notebook HDD anyways so the interface isn't the limiting factor.
It comes in 120gb, 160gb, and maybe 80? Whenever I leave the house with it, I put it in a small 1040 pelican case with cut/glued foam I added. It prevents it from getting crushed in my backpack.
