Hey,

I have a customer who is 6'5". 36" inseam.

He wants a full suspension bike, but I can't find anything larger (with a longer TT or wheelbase) than the Epic XL. This bike has a 25" effective TT length. His fall-back option is the Rockhopper (hardtail) in a 23", which has a 26" effective TT length.

We deal Specialized, Giant, Trek, and Cannondale. I know less about Trek and Cannondale then Giant and Specialized. Perhaps there's a Trek or Cannondale that I've missed...

Anyone have any ideas about a F/S bike for someone this tall?

Thanks!

I noticed the Fisher Cake DLX 1 (and probably their entire line) has a 25.5 inch ETT. Not surprising considering Fisher's philosophy of long TT's and short stems, and that he is 6'3".

sanjuro makes a good point

specialized also makes bikes suited for tall folks. i've got some friends in that height range that ride spec's. their stems are usually too long for me.

Also, inquire as to whether he'd consider 29" wheels instead - they might feel more proportional to his body size. 6'5" is pretty tall.

Unfortunately none of those companies carry a 29er for 2006, but C-Dale will have one available for 2007.

titus and several american companies can make custom bikes, klien used to i have not heard anything about them lately
I ride with a guy who is around 6'5". The fs bikes he owns are all custom from Chumba. 1) They make good bikes. 2) They're local, so sizing was easily taken care of.
