You actually get used to it pretty quick, plus I ride fairly often and IRL the actual percentage of time the wind is a pain is very low. Also a lot of our trails are in native bush now which is a naturally evolved shield.
In the odd storm it’s fun to go and stand on a look out though, get smashed about a bit.
For Denmark I can say:
Be careful on the jumps. Plan your ride so that the wind helps you get home.
But the real question is why do so many roadies ride deep dish wheels? That is dangerous!
