Offered at a starting auction price of RM1, the other items on auction include a Ferrari V10 engine, Jarno Truli’s Renault F1 race suit, Felipe Massa’s racing suit and replica helmet and Jacques Villeneuve’s racing suit and replica helmet.

“All these items have already been put on auction at eBay.com.my since March 8 and bids will close on Thursday night on March 17,” says Azhar Ghazali, the Press Officer of Sepang International Circuit.

“These are all priceless; collectors’ items that are very, very rare. Fans can check the full list and the current highest bid at the website,” he said, adding that proceeds from the auction would be channelled to the Tsunami disaster fund.

That's got a be a fake bid on Schumacher's suit. Currently 2.6M US dollars...
Especially since Ferrari just sold his 2000 championship winning F1 car for $1.5M. Yes, Ferrari is now selling used F1 cars. The Wall Street Journal had an article on it. You need to be approved though. Requirements include being a long-term Ferrari owner with Ferrari racing experience. Its not a pure auction situation. They are selling the cars to offset the $100M or ao that it takes to feild a team each year.
I believe the article was dated 2/10/05 or 2/11/05. I saved it but recently trashed it.

the seller is from the Sepang circuit mgmt team, there are 20-30+ bids on each items. that could b the reason people still bid with confidence. i would bid if i have the RMs

The last time I was in London, I was wandering around this cool little shopping area (can't remember the name right now) and found this little store that sells nothing but F1 merchandise. This place rocked. They had all the current hats, shirts, mugs, etc. but the cool stuff was the pieces of the F1 cars they had...they had nose cones and front wings from Jags, rear wings from Renault, and the coolest was a set of BBS rims from Montoya's 2002 BMW/Williams car - it was pretty neat because the rims were tiny (13" or 14"), super wide, incredibly light, and each one had written on them when they went into service and when they came out of service.

Check this website out...they sell used race cars. Old and newer. They have had F1 and CART cars on there in the past. They also sell all other types, from production cars to various formula cars such as Formula Atlantic, Formula 3000, etc. Pretty dang cool. I just wish I had the money to buy one. And build a private track.

I saw something like that in England. Some tourist shop that had all sorts of autographed celeb stuff. One framed display they had was a framed poster with a piece of Michael Schumachers F1 car. The piece of the car was autographed. The piece contained a picture of the rest of the car being raced wit the actual piece being circled. Thought that it was pretty cool. It was one of the most expensive pieces in the store.
My dad has done many BMW driving schools. They are open to c ars of any make that meet the safety specs. In addition to a handful of Ferrari SCCA cars, one guy from VT owned a used NASCAR Craftsman truck. Despite the "left turn only" bias, the thing ripped going right and left.
