Here's a pure porn shot - the locally-famous/universally-feared Dick Strangecaulk aboard his "Love Boat" and flyin'. This jump was finished on Saturday and once the run-in is cured we expect to see 30-foot launches. Oh, and since its built at Basic Training, it has a tabletop and wide tranny so you can start off rolling it and work your way up.

i read about that jump on the blackrock freeride website. sounds like a fun jumpy

That new jump looked pretty cool before it was finished... pretty tall lip and a long gap.

The lip is about 4' high, and the gap has been tabled. Right now its only giving about 20' of air so we're going to groom the run-in, hopefully get some rain someday, and if its still not enough then we'll steepen the jump a smidge. In the meantime we'll be finishing the rock garden line with a gap drop, extending the skinny farm and finishing the new beginner line.

That should be enough to take us up to the rainy season. That will also bring us pretty close to the 1-year anniversary of Basic Training. Hard to imagine that all that was built in one year! Not to mention a good portion of Sictar Gnar and Granny's Kitchen was built this past year.

Im really looking forward to this Sunday as it will be the first time down to Falls city. I've heard alot of good things about this place. Can't wait to check it out for myself!
