Purchased something from Europe and got the package-about a month or so later-recieved a letter in the mail from fedex demanding money for "duties, customs, and other fees"
Ignored the first one, now got a second one-that is a "final demand"
Anybody know about this? is this a bunch of bullsh!t or should i actually pay it. I never agreed with fedex to pay anything to them on importing it? They dropped off a package and i signed for it? (did i sign some sort of contract by accepting the box?)
While i tend to think that at least part of it is probably some kind of duty of some sort-why is it necessarily my problem if fedex decided to front me the money? (and charge me an additional fee for it)
Do i pay this?
what if i dont?
