you know you are old when you remember bike reviews from the early 80's....This is not a mountainbike and I don't care.
Watching someone crash in a river crossing and seeing the bike floating was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.the Y22 cabon's were pretty trick for the day
loved these:
That explains so much.I get to feel retro every other day. This is my main bike.
No crocs or a mullet. Rochester is the Tulsa of New York however. Nevermind I couldn't ride a wheelie to save my life....jdcamb iz Bikerfox??
Always wanted one. Guy I worked for had a new one every other year, his custom painted in his shop colors. Neon yellow is not a good color for a beautiful handbuilt bike...Ritchey P-21, now my town bike.
One of my favorite looking bikes of all time. I have that magazine somewhere. The same guy is building the bikes, but we're putting better stickers on them now!
I also know that image, but can't place it.One of my favorite looking bikes of all time. I have that magazine somewhere.
Review:It came out of a mountain bike mag before they stopped being separate from bicycling. It was like a "coast to coast" special with the spooky being east coast. That bike was the hottest thing in 96
I think I can scan some pictures of mine. A damn fine road bike. I doubt there are many of them kicking around.Mickey,
I'll have to post a photo of my Smorgasbord for you....
By Halson. It was air, correct? My memory fails me, but I think this fork was called, the Inversion fork... or something like that. Never saw many of them.
a buddy of mine still has one with the pink and purple colorwaysLoved pretty much everything about these back in the day.
the URT version? i had a aluminum version and a S20I gotta get some pictuers of my Schwinn Homegrown Carbon, what a pretty bike with such stupid suspension.
yeah! and what model? That's an MRC I'm pretty damn sure.
Boom Shaka or some stupid sh:t like that.yeah! and what model?
yup, talk about a high forward pivot! Too bad the rider is unsprung weightthe URT version? i had a aluminum version and a S20
Like this?speaking of slalom, i have a cheeta dual slalom frame that's still sitting in my garage. full built almost, needs a derailer i think, and some better brakes n tires.
yup, except mine is red.
went under, not sure of details as to when ( i wanna say early 2000's?) or why. they were originally a bmx company who then expanded into mtb / gravity - only ever made the slalom frame and a (horrible) dh bike.Looks like a fun bike. Always wondered what happened to Cheeta. They seemed to have some momentum in the early 2000s.
eh? IIRC the hardtail was the only slalom frame they made... the prowler was their DH bike. the bb height was between 15" and 16". horrible.man i wanted one of those rare Cheeta prowler dual slalom frames they had so bad,...
