out here in PA at our shopwhere?
we just had someone come in with a melted elastomer and couldnt understand that they are impossible to getproflex was awesome.
Sweet. I have a Spooky Bandwagon frame I should build up again.we just put this up for sale with the other used bikes
Kind of a shame how K2 ruined the brand. They did really try with updated bikes plus updating their own suspension. I am not sure why they were never able to really make it happen. The CNC machines that made most of the later Spooky cnc parts came from the Pro-Flex factory in RI.
We showed up with a flatbed and a bunch of jocks and stripped that place of everything we could get our hands on right before they padlocked the doors(Pro-Flex sold to K2 and they shuttered the factory and moved the offices to Washington).
The way I saw people taking it was:I think they took the fun out of it. Proflex was just wacky enough to work, but K2 was "ugh too mainstream". Plus, they eventually transitioned away from the classic lines of the proflex and moved to the Razorback, and then other models. Then they just killed it.
did it melt?speaking of k2... i used to have a noleen fork. dual crown with 5" of elastomer sprung travel. oh yea.
alas no. that would've been awesome. i wish i still had it, the elastomer stack was like 14".did it melt?
I had an aluminum one - loved that thing. After about 10 years, it snapped at the cnc piece at the top that holds the rear bolt. Sad to see that thing go.I want the Syncros TI seat post
'cause it says "light" in the title?See if you can guess why this is funny.
