These are all test prints but it's all I could scan up now. Enjoy.

1st is the best one, i think. 2nd is too dark, 3rd i don't like the composition of the paw in the immediate forefront.

experiment a little more when making prints, all of your shots have areas that are a little too washed out.

Thats the fun thing about photography... everyones eye is different. Personally i like the third photo out of the three. The paw in the foreground helps create depth and the washed out corners help pull your eyes right to the face of the kinda ragged looking critter. Keep at it and keep it fun. :thumb:

Here. I'm just not sure where "here" is.
You might try dodging the cats, but that is my opinion.

I don't like tricks like dodging and sepia toning, they're chintzy. Take a good shot in the first place and let it speak for itself.

I'm with you. The third is the best for the reasons above.

The first is good too. Kind of a "ghosts of seasons past" thing going on there. You can imagine some folks once chilling out on those chairs but now they're all cracked and peeling paint, forgotten.

Go find an old abandoned farmhouse or barn, there's lots of photo gold hidden in those places.

    Ansel has spoken.

Nice shots, I loved B&W manual SLR photography back in high school.

    Pipe down, Mr. "Photo Company".

The third would be great if the paw was a little less prominent.

I like the first one, but the stark white armrest keeps pulling my eye back to the lower left edge.

I did, the final print came out really nice but it's hanging in the hallway so I can't scan it.

i must say that i do like how the blown out edges of the first pic kind of vignettes it.
