WARNING:

I couldn't find a ride to the Fontucky race, so I decided to ride up Figuroa Mtn (about 10miles and 2000' to the Fire Station).

When I got the bottom the mountain (haven't ridden there before), I found a trail above a creek in a canyon and rode it. Eventually I went right and pushed up a steep trail until I got to:

It didn't look right with the seat way up in clouds so I put it down for the other pics.

I pushed from there up the road and rode it. Then after riding it for a while I found a drop few hundred feet off the road. No, I didn't hit it on my hardtail with street tires...

I found another drop that I didn't hit on this bike.

Up above that.

The road.

Mountains.

The drop again.

The road.

I'm using a Mac at school right now. Why doesn't the end and home buttons work??

The sun behind some trees.

The Firestation, where I turned around.

I lowered my seat and headed down. While going down the road, I decided to wallride the hillside.... As I was coming down it, I noticed two yucca plants (an oh **** moment). I jumped over/through them and down on to the road. It was getting windy so I had to stop quick while riding down a long straight section of the road because I though I was going to get blown over. I got squirrely then rode down to the turnout and talked to someone with an L lens. I noticed both tires were flat... I replaced the front tube. After that, I realized I didn't have my wrench to undo the nuts on the rear axle.....so I had to call and get a ride DOWN the mountain...:disgust1:

I took more pics while waiting to get picked up.

FLAT!! :disgust:

I figured out how to upload the w/o it resizing/sharpening them, so I relinked them.

Did you have a patch kit?

you don't need to take the wheel off if you have a patch kit! Just pull the tire off the rim and patch the tube, put it back on, pump it up and ride! :twitch:
