I wish I could give this guy some +rep.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/10/01/sen-graham-calls-beck-a-c_n_306434.html

"Only in America can you make that much money crying," Graham said of Beck. "Glenn Beck is not aligned with any party. He is aligned with cynicism and there has always been a market for cynics. But we became a great nation not because we are a nation of cynics. We became a great nation because we are a nation of believers."

Appearing before a crowd of Washington's elite power players and opinion-makers, Graham spoke largely without filter, offering acidic takes on subject well beyond Beck. The Senator called the birther community that questions the president's U.S. citizenship "crazy" and implored them to "knock this crap off" so the country could get on to more important matters.

"I'm here to tell you that those who think the president was not born in Hawaii are crazy," said Graham, who went on to dispel another myth: that Obama is a closet Muslim.

Speaking before The Atlantic's First Draft of History conference, Graham also ventured to call "crazy" a recent article on Newsmax, laying out how a military coup could overtake the Obama administration.

good find but I can't help but to agree with this commenter to a degree.

Neither Lyndsey nor any other Republican had originally denounced these fringe elements because they were successful in shifting focus from any real debate. Now that these associations are harming their brand, Republicans want to distance themselves from the ‘crazies’ and offer up a magnanimous attitude. But it’s really just an attempt to regain control after allowing “the inmates to take over the prison. “

Maybe true it was the trigger for trying to regain control, but they (or just Graham) are trying to regain control nonetheless and that's a positive thing.

It's a shame though that the bar has been so lowered that we are happy some frothers are saying a coup is a bad idea.

What's your solution? Pleading for them to throw away their nukes?
I think the solution to the situation with Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan is a very simple one. Think about it. These are mountainous and desert (or both) countries. It gets fvcking hot. I don't know about you guys, but when I'm hot, I'm irritable. I'm willing to be that the people of these countries are irritable when they get hot too. So let's send them air conditioners. Problem solved.

You don't want me with a gun. Blast you white boys...
You would get honorary whitehood for the New Yawk accent, but I'm pretty sure the most recent conservative manifesto eliminated the whitehood clause for "Yankee" accents leaving only:
- Southern (proper)
- Southern (mountain)
- Redneck
- Texan
- Western (drawl)
- Western (old-timey)
- New Hampsha'/Maine (mountain) <--- squeezed in on account of being libertarian, 98% white, and having never carpet-bagged.
Previously "white," but eliminated:
- Bostonian/WASP
- New York (city)
- New York (bridge and tunnel)
- Minnesodan
- Californian (LA valley)
- Californian (hella)

I was down in San Jose yesterday buying a rear shock for the SV. Trust me, after an hour in a SJ shopping plaza, you know the difference between non-white and white. And I fall in the former, and you, the latter.
