Well, it's been 3 weeks and i think i can finally say that i've adapted to this frame. Actually, it took me like 15 minutes to adapt, hahahaha... But hell, been riding almost everyday for the past 3 weeks and man, she just loves the corners it's amazing. Corners like she's on rails and yet if you need to, you can kick the rear end out and it'll shoot you in the direction you want and launch you straight out. Flattens the rough with the plush 8.5" of travel and the progressive nature of the bike just makes it feel bottomless. The F5 is just simply amazing...

So here they are... Pictures of my Fayre.... XD

Frame : Chumba F5
Shock : Fox DHX 5.0
Fork : 08 Rock Shox Boxxer Race
Rr Derailer : SRAM XO
Shifters : SRAM XO
Chainguide : Gamut P40
Brakes : Hayes Stroker Trail
Tyres : 2,5 Maxxis Minion DHF/ 2.35 Maxxis Highroller
Tubes : Maxxis DH Tubes
Cranks : Truvativ Holzefeller w/ Howitzer BB 40T w/ Heim Custom Bash
Wheels : Azonic Outlaw

Yea dude, trying to get it to the way i want it setup... Things to be done...

Deity Dirty30 cut to 28", PointOneRacing stem, Sram PG970 DH 11-26T, KMC X9SL chain, SRAM XO Shortcage and Shimano M540 pedals...

But right now, i'm broke and financially unable to build this bike the way i want it to... This will have to do...

Have we ridden before??? Cant remember you... whats your name dude? XD No riding for me this weekend... I got my placement tests for the music department at CSUEB on Friday and then 5 ensemble auditions on Monday. Want to be at the top of my game... So no riding... School is my priority... XD

Thanks guys. I'm really loving her too, she rides amazing and corners incredible...

jonKranked - nope... Never thought of it... Think it would be too much of a hassle to get a 150mm wheel and get the brake mounts... hahaha, i'll just leave the floater on there. Money can be spent elsewhere... XD

wait, does this mean I can run a 135mm hub with the floating brake arm attached? I'm not really sure how the floater setup works. I'm not buying wheels until I have the frame, I'm just trying to figure out how much money I need.

Yupp... 135mmX12mm hub... 15mm is how much space the floater takes. So that makes it a 150mm drop out... the 135mm wheel will have to be dished a little bit towards the brake though but is easy to do and you can do it while the wheel is on the bike...

Congrats on getting a new rig... Getting an F5??? XD

Thanx dude... XD

Awesome, you answered my next question too. I was gonna ask about the wheel dish. Now I can just convert one of my wheelsets to 12mm and call it a day! I should have the rest of the money for my frame by the end of next week. I hope I get to take it to Diablo by the end of the season.

Nice build man. Those frames always stuck out to me because of the swing arm. Just reminds me of a moto bike.

You going out to Gnar Star this weekend? Check the Bay Area thread. A bunch of us are heading up for a day trip on Saturday.

Understandable. Good luck man.

Let me know if you ever make it out to SC and want to ride. Saturdays are the best days for me.

I really want to make it out to the Livewire race, but I'm not sure I can. I don't even think I am going to be able to make it to the Weaverville race later that month.

Might do a few of the CCCX cyclocross races this winter though. =]

SC is tons of fun. It's worth a drive.

I haven't heard anything about the DH yet. I have been checking the site every few days. Damn them.
