ChristianExodus.org is coordinating the move of thousands of Christians to South Carolina for the express purpose of reestablishing Godly, constitutional government. It is evident that the U.S. Constitution has been abandoned under our current federal system, and the efforts of Christian activism to restore our Godly republic have proven futile over the past three decades. The time has come for Christians to withdraw our consent from the current federal government and reestablish the sovereign Christian nation of South Carolina.

That would never work. Christians can't agree on anything, and fundmentalists in particular like to point out that other people just ain't Christian for them. It would just be a matter of time before one clique would start stoning another for making a sandwich on a Sunday...

LOL................too funny!!! Silver that sounds like something you have experienced personally.

As a Christian, Jesus following, Bible believing :monkey: , let me go on the record and say these folks are wacko. I would love to ask these folks where in the Bible is says that we are suppose to separate ourselves and have this "Holy huddle" and outsiders are not welcome.

It's about time we had another thread about religion / faith, I was getting bored with all that political stuff.................. ;)

While we are at it, can we banish everyone who drives slow in the left lane to Georgia and send all the Atkins Dieters to Michigan, hippies to NorCal, right wing nut jobs to Texas and dandruff sufferers to Alaska?

I find most christians to be rather frightening but this bunch sounds downright horrifying. Good plan to contain them though. I think this is a win/win situation for the rest of us.....jdcamb

This whole thing just cracks me up the more I think about it. Now most evangelical Christians place a high value on the "Great Commission", Jesus telling the disciples to go make disciples and baptise..........

Now with this being the major factor (to see folks become followers of Jesus) to why we do missionary work, share our faith, etc; why in the world would they want to cut themselves off from the people (those "heathens" they want to separate themselves from) they are suppose to be demonstrating the love of Jesus to?

It just totally cracks me up (and makes me sad when I really think about it), how these types of folks think they have it "all figured out", and yet miss the point in such a major and unBiblical way.................and for me this is the larger issue, and they don't realize it.

Yet these are the same folks that slam Hollywood, liberals, gays, the list goes on. But when you read (actually read in it's entirety, not just a verse here and there), you never see Jesus slam those kinds of folks. You never see Paul slam those kinds of folks. You do, however, see both of these guys coming down VERY hard on the religious "hey we got it all figured out" crowd. Jesus goes as far to call the leading religious leaders of His day "sons of Satan". It is so interesting to me that times have not changed, there are still those who think they have it all figured out (in respect to Christianity), and yet those are the same sort of people if Jesus were here right now would be slamming on.

What a sad commentary on the state of evangelical Christianity in the US today.

I thought you guys might find that interesting.

I'm of the "SBC" flavor, so I'll reserve my comments for a bit until you guys comment.
So they are mad that the public school does not offer enough religious teaching or even enough religious freedom... isn't that the point? You go to school to learn things that are tangible and that you will need to use in life.

If you want to learn about religion, which requires ‘faith’ (belief without proof), you are taught at home or your church/ synagogue / mosque / tiki hut.

If someone wants their child to have faith – they need to take the time themselves to teach it (especially since teaching something is a great way to learn yourself… i.e. they would be better educated about their own religon!)
