Well the title kind of explains it - I recently got a answer/manitou FS ti spring fork for free but the problem is the steerer tube is too short (7"). 8" would work, 8.5" would be better. I guess this fork is from the late 90's and I can't find the crown/steerer tube to save my life. It is a replaceable one, two pinch bolts per side so I know its not a lost cause. This is my first foray into the world of suspension and I have not a clue what to do. Where can I find this piece/is anything else interchangeable?
To add insult to injury, I know a shop that had the same fork for 2+years and then threw it out a week before I got this one. Go figure!
