whenever that happens which is super rare, or any other problem, i simply reinstall and everything is good for another 6 monthes..

sometimes i'll click to open FF and it won't, so i just reinstall and then its fine, and eveyrthing is reset, usually keeping your favorites.

In Options / Content there is check box that is called 'Load images' check to see if you haven't somehow unchecked it.

Secondly if you installed the developer pack there is an option in there that allows you to prevent images from displaying.

Yep, that's what I'd do (reinstall firefox).

I don't know how you guys keep breaking it . This is probably the 5th or 6th thread on the subject in the past several months and yet I've actually never had a single problem with it.

:stupid: I've been running Firefox for years without any problems.

damn so should i now reinstall Fire fox ?!
At home this exact thing happens to me. Reinstall and it works but then somewhere down the line it just up and stops. I've reported it to Mozilla but nothing so far.

most defintely a configuration error....
the reason is this: some images are displayed (banner and buttons are shown in the first image), and yet some are not.

there are options to block certain website images from loading, especially from an extension called ad-block or something like that.
you can also do it from the preferences (in the other image) by specifying a domain or an actual url and the choosing to block the content.

it may also be helpful to know what domain the images (right click on the image and "copy image location") are from for testing purposes--just because msie can load the images doesn't mean they actually exist (images are commonly cached, especially in msie ) to make a page load faster.

you don't need to rush to reinstall things---reinstalling at the first sign of something you don't expect is a knee-jerk reaction. a better response is figuring out why it happened in the first place so you make it not happen again.

oiswego---now some pages doesnt work i mean i dont see any pictures ! so its critical error in FF and things in FF is dropping dead from every hour...
more and more forums, pictures in sites doesnt work...

i dont know why that happend because i never touch setting i only use to go on sites general configuration when i download FF is just fine so i dont need any adjusments from me...
its just happend , i dont have any viruses or any spyware so just big error which bring more erros untill i think everything collaps

I have a couple of websites I manage and build and I have noticed that if I don't do HTML code perfectly things don't load properly in Firefox. Explorer is designed to work even with blatent errors in coding, but I've noticed Firefox will skip things minor as forgetting to note positioning of items. Explorer will by default position items left in absence of specific details.

Basically, there may be nothing wrong with your Firefox. I always load my website in Firefox when I make any changes to be sure it will load properly. I've seen how Firefox works when things aren't quite right on the page that is loading. Possibly the problem lies with the content you are trying to view and not Firefox.

One thing I have noticed about Firefox that I don't understand is the fact that on pages that don't load properly may load properly from time to time. Seems very inconsistent. So the fact that a page displayed properly once doesn't mean it will everytime.

Most websites have sloppy coding and work fine with Explorer. When I use Firefox I am surprised at how different some websites look. I have gotten away from using Firefox for this reason except with viewing movies or Flash games etc. where Firefox excells.

Just FYI ;)

In IE, a PNG image on my site has blue where it should be transparent. It looks transparent in FF. Also, a table with the limage links below the header is put left in IE, but is centered in FF.

Any idea?

Yeah... don't use PNG :)

Use widely accepted image formats like JPG and GIF. GIF has transparancies if you need them.

Hey, I know this thread is slightly old and I read taht you got Opera, but if you still want to try something to fix your Firefox I might have the solution. Try this link - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager . I had a problem where I lost all my front/back, etc. icons and all my dropdown menues were black and I couldnt really do anything and uninstalling didn't work and this fixed it right away, no problems since.
