I want to try to run FireFox on my computer at work.

My work uses proxies, but I can't seem to configure them correctly. I made the proxy settings for FF the same as the IE ones, but still get an error telling me the settings are wrong. Should I have a different port by any chance? It's currently at port 80, should it have a different one that IE?

If I change the connection settings to "direct connection to the internet" I can navigate inside our coporate network, but can't get outside of it.

Any help on this one?

Can you post a screenshot of the error you are getting?

The settings for accessing the internet via Firefox:

Tools > Options > General > Connection Settings
- Manual Proxy Configuration
- Enter Your Proxy servers name in the "HTTP Proxy" section. Port = "80"
- Choose "Socks V4"
- Add any exclusions you might have. (An Intranet page, etc).
- Click "OK"
