HOWDY!

I forgot my fireworks at home...

Tonights ride is going off. Looks like we'll have some beautiful ball sweating heat, good descents, post ride swim and sausages with sauerkraut on the bbq afterwords.

Actually was able to sleep last night and nausea has subsided. Massive poop this morning means guts starting to work again. Still not 100% but worlds better than before.

got dog piled for my wake up call. All 4 dogs decided that I was not going to sleep in and jumped up on the bed and started licking my face and laying all over me. very cute until the big guy barked into my ear.. Now for some coffee and grub

Had to leave work early to pick up my lousy kid from daycare.

Then I deloused him.

The rest of the day was a bit of a write off. My work motivation is very low these days, so being able to catch back up today seems unlikely.

Was up at 5 for another ride this morning. Pretty awesome.

I should just become a bike guide..:

Kenny Chesney last night at our concert series, and it's going to be interesting to see the crowds today at the casino. Beach'works go off about 9-ish, and I'm off at 8, no overtime willing. Dogs like that we're home, though......

In hell. Welcome!
Happy freedums, Murica! Rode this morning with a next door bud in a failed attempt to beat the heat and sweated my balls off. It is too hot to do anything outside or in detached garage so I think I'll start chugging malty beverages around the lunch time and spend the rest of the day on autopilot.

Just gettin' to the lounge for the first time today. been a busy day at work. Happy 4th to all my southern brethren... and godspeed for the next two years....

Had a bass tree all tangled up in power and phone lines at camp. Got out the extension ladder, went up and took all the leaders off the tree from the top down using a hand saw. Hauled all that crap off, took down the bole with a chain saw, and got rid of that. Noted that phone lines up on pole had no stress relief, found hook bolt on ground, pole had split and spit it out. Up the pole using the ladder, drilled a new hole, screwed in the hook bolt, attached the strain relief loops. Now can I have a beer?

Met up with buddies and rode Little Bald Mountain this morning. Cool temps and overcast made for great conditions. 16.5 mile FS road climb and 12 mile descent, 4300ft vert overall. Good stuff.

What a nice evening to be reminded I am in America. Some sad asshole with a thick Mass accent had to yell profanities at me from his car just because I was on my bike in front of my home.

walked 7 miles today and my calf felt fine. strapped on the helmet and riding shoes and took the Mt Bike for a spin on flat pavement. Um oh hell no it's not anywhere near prime time. An easy slow low gear spin hurt. Did a two mile out an back that sucked donkey balls, at least there was no swelling afterwards.

When I commuted in the Cambridge/Boston area on a bicycle, I locked it with a chain, which I wore around my waist with the key in the lock. It transformed pretty instantly into a weapon, useful for hostile drivers and the street gangs of the time, this being before many of them sported firearms...
