got roped in at the last minute for a 4 man team for a 24 hour event this weekend, have no ide what to expect, have never even ridden at night.........what have I done

You'll have a blast!well, what an experience ! but yeah, the night riding was a blast (well, at least the first 2 laps)
getting up at midnight and 4 am and so on for night riding is something else, anyways did my 6 hours and some change, and now my butt is sore and shall have the week off, didn't get any sleep.

damn......didn't really understand the rules, we got a DNF as we stopped after 23 hours.......but we had the second most laps in the open mens cat.
we did 50 laps, first had 54 and second did 49, but beause we stopped we got DNF, not bad for 4 first timers, 3 of which had never ridden in the dark and I was only tod about the race 3 days before.
oh well, there's always next time.
