Hey guys just thought I would share. I just finished putting it together about 5 mins. ago. Still alot of upgrades to do, but my last bike was a Ironhorse Sinister Comp so I think I have come along ways.

Let me know what you think.

Wowee! I love how the frame and fork match perfectly. You know what would match with it? A brand spankin' new Fifth E! Makes that bike ride like a dream.

Sweet rig, Bullit pride!

PUSH'ing the fox shock (i didn't look closely ,but assume you have a fox vanilla) is a good way to improve performance.

and doesn't cost much.

Nice ride. I had a Bullit for about 3-4 years and loved it. Almost any aftermarket shock improves pedaling immensely. I rode it with a Fox, 5th and Avalanche and probably liked the 5th the best. That's the first upgrade I'd go for. Awesome ride, though. Really versatile bike.

Gonna ride hard at Windrock next weekend. First time DHing. Should be fun. Thanks for the comments guys. Profro and me89 you guys ride at Windrock got any suggestion about rebound and compression settings on shock and fork. Trust me I am probably not going to be competitive at all, so don't worry about me stealing any thunder. Also are the 2.7 Mobsters to much for Windrock?
Thanks

sorry never riden there im sure it is a place that i need to ride though.

but about the tires stick with the 2.7 or 2.5 they will give you extra stability cause of the extra width. the only prob with 2.7 is that fact that they wont roll as fast as the 2.5 and there a little bit heavier. (not that big of a diff.) so its up to you about the tire. im running 2.5 minions on my new rig. so if that helps any profo will be able to help you more. :thumb:

Sweet Ride. I've got something similar. Here is a couple ideas.

Check out a Salsa Qr seatpost clamp ($22)

Also, check to see you have the correct spring #age (500# for 150lb rider ~). Back the compression all the way down. Get the shock "Pushed" when service is due next season or so.

Maybe play with the stem height. Looks a bit too high to me. Front may skip out on you cornering w/ that extra height.

It rocks !

I am making improvements as deals show up like the seat I just picked up for $15. I do have the correct spring for my weight, still gotta put that on. Sorry me89 I thought that I had seen you post about Windrock before.

gierhed,

Damping adjustments are very personal. However I think most people run the rebound just past middle towards more rebound damping. That will help keep it stuck to the ground a little more. Generally I think shocks have too much adjustment, so sticking close to the middle is a good place to start.

As for tires at Windrock I would say most run 2.7 in the front and 2.5 in the rear. I run 2.5s front and rear, but thats me. But the 2.7 will certainly help you in the front. I have never ridden the Mobster, so I can't comment presonally, but I have seen lots so it should be fine. Our team runs Maxxis DHFs front and rear for the most part. However, we occansionally throw on Highrollers. The SEI team runs Michelins and I usually see the Comp 16 in 2.5 up front and a Comp 24.1 in 2.5 in the rear on their bikes.
