all of the sudden i can't view videos on youtube and other similar websites... everytime i get this message

i don't have javascript turned off and i have the latest flash player...any ideas as to what is up...i'm using the most recent version of Mozilla/Firefox

Do you have a firewall or antivirus software that is blocking the Flash player? Have you recently updated your security software, sometimes that can tweak the allowed programs list and you'll have to manually add programs back in.

You may consider running a full system virus scan and spyware scan since the message is slightly suspect. The key is the "hello".

the message is actually on the youtube page...it's not a pop up or anything...but i did just run a scan the other day and got nothing

i tried disabling norton and nothing changed...also i tried it in internet explorer...same thing

Running Firefox with NoScript can cause this to happen. When you get to youtube right-click on the no-script icon in your tray, and choose to allow or temporarily allow youtube.com

In IE, depending on your security settings, you may have to add youtube.com to your trusted sites.
Tools > Internet Options > Security > Sites

Have you tried getting the latest Flash player?

Did you upgrade Firefox recently? Some earlier versions of Firefox had problems with Java. Try going to v2.0.0.8, if you haven't already.

Also, check your Firefox settings: Tools > Options > Content - and make sure javascript is enabled.

i swear i haven't done anything to my computer, but i just went to youtube to see if it was working...and sure enough it just decided to work...thanks guys for the help though

you must have powered off, waited 30-60 seconds, and started your system up. That ALWAYS fixes most everything....LOL!!!!!
