So for the first Fluidride Cup in Whistler, you pay $39 for lift ticket for saturday, $11 for lift ticket sunday. Then $10 for BCC license. Total is $60, which is normal for race events. Then a $50 registration fee? Comes out to $110, which seems ridiculous for a race. Whats the deal with this?

In the Northwest.
Lifts aren't cheap to run.

If you just went to whistler to ride for the weekend, you are spending 100 dollars in lift tickets.

A few of the MSC races are crazy expensive. I think I paid 120 to race at angelfire last year. At least you get to ride the rest of the bike park when you are done practicing.

What Kyle said.

Crankworx last year cost me $110 Cdn for two races (55 ea) plus competitor-discounted lift tickets only for the two race days - - AND bought a three-day that I had to burn two days of for the training days (no break on the training day lift tickets, IIRC).

I'd say the FR pricing is right in there for an event at Whistler.
