Stumbled across a great stretch of river that I intend to fly fish this year. It's been a while since I've pulled out the fly rod and I no longer own waders or boots. What say you, fellow anglers. Simms? Orvis? LL Bean? No real shops around to go try stuff on, save for a Cabelas and LL Bean store.

Likely will only be fishing spring, summer, and fall, maybe 10-15 days a year.

@eric strt6 tagging you, cause I know you're out there a ton.

I bought some from walmart here that have lasted several seasons, no leaks. You can spend an absolute shitload on this stuff that is easily damaged.

Huh, never seen em at Walmart before. I'll give that a peek next time I'm in-store.
It may have to do with our location. Up until a few years ago you could buy a .44 magnum handgun there and at the local grocery stores too...but with the fishing stuff they stock the waders cuz they sell so much around here.

The shit part about waders is they are proportioned for women IME, so if you are not fat, the feet are too small. So you end up with cramped feet or way too large uppers.

I found that the Frog Toggs fit me perfectly. just enough room to wear fleece pants and a warm top for cold water/ weather fishing yet not baggy when fishing in the summer with shorts or thin pants on

Not going to be the same as wading mountain streams, but hopefully I can find a spot to occasionally throw some flies once I've moved.
