My friend just invented this awesome product for guitarists with shoulder/neck/back issues. It is a belt strap, instead of going over the shoulder (though there is a shoulder version too). It the ticket for me to start being able to stand while I play bass. I got mine and it is a treat! It also is nice for playing while wearing costumes with shoulder pieces - who does that?

It is a limitation of the design. Some bassists play with the bass high on the torso, and this won't do that. There is also a limited range of adjustment due to the short strap lengths, but there is some height adjustments you can make by raising/lowering the belt. Since the maker is a friend of mine, I got some custom tweaks, which he is considering in his build plans.

Yup, there are versions of one-offs out there, but my bud grabbed the patent on it and is taking it to market. I wish him luck.
