I've done some searching, and have found minimal information. As I was going through my parts bin, I found a 24hole hub, and have a 28hole and 32hole rims. Now I know this is not optimal, however, I was wondering if I could/should try building a wheel with this mis-match combo. If so, which rim would be better? How would the lacing work?
I was able to find a 32hole hub laced to a 24hole rim, however, I could see the overall build clear enough online to see if I could just swap the lacing pattern.
I do have a hunch that any replies will be along the line of "don't be such a cheap ass and buy a 24hole rim" comments. I would just like to get some parts back in use. Oh, and this wheel will be used for road riding only, if that makes any difference to the strength factor.
Thank you in advance of any help......
