hello, sorry if this is posted wrong.

I have a question that has been perplexing me for a long time.
on the mountain cycle website, it says the battery has a "fork clearance" of
125mm-to-whatever

what would happen if I ran a 100mm fork on it?

I dont really understand fork clearance

sorry for the stupid question.

thanks

Putting a shorter fork than recommended does more than lower the front end. It lowers your BB height and steepens your headtube angle. I'd be more worried about the headtube angle. If it's too steep, you'll loose stability when the terrain gets steep.

MC lists the head angle (HA) at 68.5deg. IMHO, that's already a bit too steep for a park/SS bike. Personally, I wouldn't go with the 100mm fork. I'd keep it at 125mm. If you were dead set on riding a 100mm fork, you might wanna look for a frame that specs 100mm forks without having a super steep HA.
