I've got a Fox Vanilla 125 RLC (2004?) that needs an overhaul. Doing this myself isn't an option. Is Push the way to go?

The fork is on my old Quasi Moto and has been sitting dormant in the garage for a few years. I'm pretty sure all the oil from the fork is now on the garage floor. The fork has never been serviced. The bike is in pieces and I'm looking to build it back up. Step 1 will be servicing the fork.

If the fork comes back good as new, I'll probably want to put it on the primary bike (RFX) and move the 36 Vanilla to the old bike. I don't really need a 160mm fork but it came with the bike.

Thanks for listening.

Oh, so as far as your original question, are there no "Fox" fork servicers in your area?
Unless you are getting some "custom" build/tune then you may not want to pay for the "push" and the shipping.

Don't get me wrong though... Push is nice!!

So this is a 125mm Coil Fox fork? Pretty nice feel on those puppies.
Personally I would leave it on the Quasi and keep the 160 on the RFX. Then just ride the RFX more and do more shuttles/lifts for the RFX. A 125 on that bike ()rfx) would make it pretty steep in the HT.

If you have a bike shop that's at least semi competent they should be able to do it. The 32mm Fox forks are stupid easy to work on.

You could also do it yourself, I promise. I know you said you don't want to though.

Oh, and :stupid: with -BB- as far as putting the 125 on the RFX goes. The axle to crown on those is even shorter than the 35mm travel difference would lead you to believe. It'll be really steep and really low like that.

HAB, You obviously don't know Baboon. He is mechanically incompetent. He's lucky he can put his front wheel on his bike, even WITH the QR.

I can almost guarantee, if it is done at their house, it will be done by MBC.

I am in the camp that says leave the 125mm Fox on the Quasi-moto and put that bike in the shorter of the two travel settings for rear travel and make that more of the all day epic bike and keep the RFX as the burly jump off stuff bike.

Oh and there is a guy on bikerag.com (Forget his username) that is reported to do good fork overhaul/repair work. I'll get his info from OBD and report back.

Cheers,
