has anyone had any experince with the Formula hubs? i am curious cause i am going to end up with one for my new bike. so if anyone knows anything about them it would be much appreciated.

they're fine. Rear or front? If it's the front, it's about as good as any other front hub. The rear ones are decent, cheap but not crap. Engagement is about as fast as a Shimano (i.e. slow).

The front ones are sturdy and cheap just like any other decent front hub.
The rear ones had a problem with the freewheel mechanism breaking. If it doesn't break, then you're good to go..
