Hey all (y'all),
I'm visiting my mom who lives in the Fort Hood area, and when helping her clean out her garage, I found my brothers old mtb and it actually still works. So where is there to go for a nice quick ride in the Fort Hood area? I'm actually in Copperas Cove at the moment... The weather is gorgeous down here and I haven't been on a bike in over two weeks!!!

Dana Peak Park on Stillhouse Hollow Lake has a trail system--FREE if you park before the gate.

On Ft Hood itself the Fort Hood Trailblazers operate the Belton Lake Outdoor Rec Area's Mountain Bike park. Cost I believe is 3$ for day use. Get your window sticker at the admin office at Belton Lake Outdoor Rec Area. You'll see the entrance to the Mt Bike park on your way there.
