i don't think he is tops at pedaling. he'll have some more wins on other courses.sam seems like nothing special this season

Absolutely! Great to see the big man back in good form.awesome to see rennie podium, hope to see that many more times!

Agreed...as amazing as Sam is, I was getting tired of him crushing everyone and I like Peaty way better. I'm hoping Steve can win one this year and tie Nico's record.Man this season is going good I thought it was gonna be a Sam Hill steam roller of a season, with Gee close behind but so far it's not it's been real good.
And nessesary, that **** must not be alowed to be shown without sheit being thrown at it. Glad they went poo competitvely. The skinsuit bashing was hilarious.
So... I'm not sure if anyone picked up on this pic from dirtmag's coverage of Ft. Bill, but I heard that the dude standing in the background is actually Minnaar... there's no way that's possible, but if it's true that's phucking HILARIOUS.
Looks like the Syndicate Triumvirate knows how to have a good time and loosen up at the races. Didn't Peaty "buzz" the back of Minnaar's head with someone's bike after he passed out at a bar?
Hilarious...
EDIT: Congrats to Rennie!
not really, the mojo riders did place well considering their usual results. And nessesary, that **** must not be alowed to be shown without sheit being thrown at it. Glad they went poo competitvely.
Hah, sure looks like Minnaar to me.So... I'm not sure if anyone picked up on this pic from dirtmag's coverage of Ft. Bill, but I heard that the dude standing in the background is actually Minnaar... there's no way that's possible, but if it's true that's phucking HILARIOUS.

Sam has proven that old BS notion that he can NOT pedal wrong many times before. There is no such thing as a course that does NOT suit him. He is just getting beat, nothing more, nothing less.
But you can bet the worlds he will be on his game like he never has been before.
Seems logical, I just don't know where they regularily place.not really, the mojo riders did place well considering their usual results.
Tracey smoked the rest of the women!
maybe he should have worn the skinsuit again?agreed, it's not that he can't pedal so much as it simply does not play to his strengths. He doesn't lose becasue of pedaling, he just doesn't have as many opportunities to take time out of the rest of the field the way he can on some other tracks.
And he's won ft. william 2 years running so you won't find him making excuses.
i didn't appreciate the crass commentary, and especially during the womens races. i'd rock a skinsuit if it meant winning. of course i'm not wc caliber so my opinions don't carry much weight.I love how everyone thinks 'skinsuits are not good for our image'
But they don't mind cussing like sailors while live on the internet.
If you don't want to wear a skinsuit, don't....get over it.
There are 100 other marquee issues at hand in increasing exposure for MTB racing than worrying about attire.
Ooh come on, those are brotherly hugs. You're comming out like that Aussie commedian that says "toughen the fvck up Australia"...I love how everyone thinks 'skinsuits are not good for our image'

I know.. really! what was up with that idiot in the middle of the mens race shouting about swiss women and shaved c**ts. Nice one, im sure his sponsors were delighted.I love how everyone thinks 'skinsuits are not good for our image'

Lets put it this way, a friend of mine who follows the sport in pieces, did not know who the Mojo team was until today.I know.. really! what was up with that idiot in the middle of the mens race shouting about swiss women and shaved c**ts. Nice one, im sure his sponsors were delighted.
i applaud Chris Porters decision to make his team run skinsuits, hes bound to have known the flak he would take from it.. whether his riders liked the decision or not is not Rob Warners business to be discussing live to the viewers.
agreed, funny yes, but in places unprofessional. The frat-ish commentating by Warner, and Especially Gracia is simultaneously amusing, but mostly just embarrassing. It's certainly not something I'd want to show an investor, for example.
They are capable of not-acting like goons, but I'd really rather see Peter Graves. Graves is mountainbike racing.
And on that note, Downhill is bicycle racing. All of the little Palmer wannabees should go twist throttles if they don't like Skinsuits....
Good marketing, sure. But a step back for the sport and especially for those who compete in it. If all racers wear them it won't be to the advantage of anyone. And if all don't, then it won't be to the dissadvantage to anybody. Let them be 'til Worlds, they look ridiculous and sponsors might back of because of them.Lets put it this way, a friend of mine who follows the sport in pieces, did not know who the Mojo team was until today.
I heard Rob Halford saw them and desided he's going to do next Monsters of Rock in a Mojo suit.in my opinion the mojo suits looked decent, im not so sure about the design on Traceys tho.
Ya, because the sponsors were/are just POURING in with everyone wearing motogear.Good marketing, sure. But a step back for the sport and especially for those who compete in it. What would you be thinking if you were looking to sponsor something in extreme sports and saw the suits; yeah, those condoms are just as cool as things our company wants to be assosiated with. I don't think so.Ya, because the sponsors were/are just POURING in with everyone wearing motogear.
Don't be ridiculous. If you can find me one corporate guy, just ONE that says they almost had a big deal with DHing but backed out last minute because they saw a skinsuit wearing rider, I would be surprised-if not knowing you made it up.
how are faster times a step backward?Good marketing, sure. But a step back for the sport and especially for those who compete in it. If all racers wear them it won't be to the advantage of anyone. But I'd bet that the opposite could be true as well. Everyone could rock the c@cksuit and there still would likely be no corporate sponsors pouring in. I'd doubt that it would make a huge difference, but my guess (and I know that's all it is) would be that smaller "image" consious type companies would sooner be associated with the moto image that the skinsuit. Now, for bigger sponsors (which the sport could use more of) perhaps it doesn't matter. Regardless, the riders seem to prefer to no don the suit...Ya, because the sponsors were/are just POURING in with everyone wearing motogear.

I'm with you on that! Spot on!What would you be thinking if you were looking to sponsor something in extreme sports and saw the suits; yeah, those condoms are just as cool as things our company wants to be assosiated with. I don't think so.
Sponsors left long time ago, skinsuits won't bring them back. Widening this sport to become quite popular as all the freeride kids grow up might. Don't kill it once again with those condoms, nobody's going to want to be assosiated with that and the kids will continue to huckflip only.
-You said 'extreme sports', 1997 called and wants their term back. What would you be thinking if you were looking to sponsor something in extreme sports and saw the suits; yeah, those condoms are just as cool as things our company wants to be assosiated with. I don't think so.
