Towing the party line.
Supposed to be on and off rain. One day rain, one day clear. Weekend is looking ok for now. Cool temps, winfy as hell, keeping the midges away. Sitting in a laundry mat with coffee, internet, sofas and clean smelling laundry. This place rules.

One thing's for sure: Fort Bill knows how to host a World Cup round...

First time i ever hear anyone say that the sun is out in Ft Bill, while i sit at my desk in London and it pisses down with rain. Amazing.

Hey Fraser.....What are the filmakers you have seen on these rounds of WC???

Where is Sven Martin posting his pics on internet????

I know Justin Schroth (Lucent Productions/Free Delivery) is doing the filming/editing for the freecaster updates at Ft. Bill this weekend. Should be some good stuff.

More important that anything else, how was the party Sunday night at Cedrics place? Greek style with broken plates and champagne bottles opened as a way to flash and get attention? :D

These were industry types, so their livers are well trained to back-to-back drinking sessions. Taipei Show and Sea Otter early in the season make for good training heading into the World Cup level drinking. Fort William though is kinda the "World Champs" of sustained alcoholism though. It's hard not to tie one on there. The people are just too damned friendly and fun!

Thats exactly what I was thinking, after last weekends 5th place qualifier could this be his weekend to break onto his first podium?
He's definitely fast enough and that track will suit him quiet well but can he stay on his bike that long? During his Freecaster interview with Lopes he said Andorra was first world cup final without a crash.

I bet he nabs a podium before the year is out

counted at least 15 Americans. That's what, 13 more than '06?

Amzing that world class athletes can get ****faced 2-3 times per month on a regular basis. I know some guys that played 2nd division ice-hockey in Sweden and they kept it really cool during season, except for chirstmas hollidays and such. Those guys were only semi pro's and worked 6h days and trained 6days/week. Thats a lot of sacrifice for the relative little moner they earned compared to 1st division pro's.

They're sure living the dream; perfect balance between sports and rock n' roll. :thumb:

looks like kyle strait is racing... haven't dont really pay attention to the freeride world save watching some movies and watching crankworx when its online, but is he transitioning over to racing? I think he used to be a pretty fast junior, got 3rd at worlds a long time ago, it'd be cool to see him move up in the standings and start putting up solid results (24th at maribar was pretty cool).

That's pretty typical for guys his age, isn't it? Not getting too hot headed and comming in ones own pants has to do with maturity. I wonder how much mind games is going on between racers. Surely the younger ones have another disadvantage there too.

That would be wicked! Canada showing up for something else than freeriding. HA!

Too true, though if I recall from last year you didnt even come close to qualifying for the final!!
I went out too hard the first day of practice. Ended up pulling a liver. Tried to sleep it off but couldn't piece it back together in time for the main event. Hill certainly won that event too last year!

You gotta remember how few on the circuit are 'world class' (train like pros, eat like pros, visualisation in their sleep, etc) athletes. I hear one particular drinking partier is on the verge of getting booted off a program. People are dumb.
