Same here...play it all the time. I get in stints to do career mode, but most of the time I just enter in the cheats, build awesome cars, and go smoke the field. It's an awesome game.

I play it. In fact it's in the xbox right now, and I'm about to go play some more. But I don't play on live with it. The times I've tried to play racing games on live as soon as I get in a room, people kick me cause they don't like whatever car I have.:brows:

I loved the physics, looks, and gameplay in Forza, but the damn player AI killed it for me. If people drove in real races the way the other cars drive in Forza, they would be black flagged and then arrested after the race. Hopefully in Forza 2 this will be remedied. Also hopefully they will actaully have a realistic number of cars on the grid(20+). Im getting really tired of 8 car races.

waiting for it to come out on the 360.

I think i would buy a PS3 just so I could play Grand Turismo HD. Seen some video trailers and it looks unreal, to to gametrailers.com.

GT HD ships without any cars or tracks. You need to pay for each one seperately in micropayments...AFTER paying for the game. Sweet. Enjoy that.

I'm looking forward to Forza 2 for the 360. I like PGR 3 too. I just wish they would do a new Rallisport Challenge.

This is entirely true. GT HD is the "preview" version for GT5. They are testing out this system to see if it will be accepted. No word yet as to if they will actually use it in GT5, but it is 100% in effect for HD.

Cool your jets bro. It just means you'll only pay for the parts of the game you actually use. The initial cost will be less than normal games.

I have it and play it in spurts I have maxed out two careers... I recently started a new career and I am trying to paint and sticker any cars I modify the same so they are easier to pick out from my garage and look all "Full Factory Racing" and am trying to use the least # of cars possible.

I also own rallisport but suck at the harder snow events...

As of now, this isn't the case. Estimated MSRP is still the same as prior "preview" versions.

"Regular" game prices have gone up and are now being labeled "premium" and the like. The cut down versions are selling at what a normal game retailed for before. The initial cost is identical to what you have always paid, there is no discount. This is the new path that the game industry seems to be taking with the next gen consoles - ship a product missing some heavily anticipated items. Sell them for a few dollars extra and call it a micropayment.

looking for classic NE singletrack
frasier, where are you getting your info?

gamespot thinks that there's going to be two versions, one with multitudes of cars and tracks, and one "premium" version with only a few cars/tracks but have everything to the minute detail...

The biggest news on Gran Turismo HD is that the game will be split into two portions, known as Gran Turismo HD Premium and Gran Turismo HD Classic. The significant differences between the two "sides" of the game are extensive, not just in quantity but in terms of visual quality. First let's talk numbers. Gran Turismo HD Premium will feature 30 cars and two tracks, all of which have been modeled from the ground at a level of visual fidelity that simply hasn't been approached in the game before. As Yamauchi told us, modeling cars for the HD Premium version of the game takes roughly six months for each one, and the models themselves are composed of tens of thousands of polygons (as opposed to merely the thousands that compose those found in GT HD Classic).

As you might expect, the Classic version of GT HD will feature the "quantity" side of the equation--more than 750 cars, 51 tracks, and thousands of downloadable items. All of the assets in the game will come from data supplied from previous GT games, all upgraded for high-definition presentation. Essentially GT HD Classic will be a compilation of previous Gran Turismo games presented in HD quality.
Yamauchi has said in the past that one of his favorite things about the older gran turismo's is driving normal cars that you can't get your hands on, so I doubt that they'd cut those out for the general public.

Dante, last I heard gamespot had managed to somehow confuse GT HD and GT 5? Don't recall where i read it.

At this point though it is guaranteed that GT HD is shipping without the cars, as the "premium" version would have to be something like $375 to compensate for the lost revenue. It's always possible that they'd release this, as that is what a lot of developers are doing, but unlikely with a preview release? Halo 3 will have regular, collectors and Legendary. Probably $50, $75, $99.

Basically, HD is being released solely to test the micropayment system and get peole excited about gt5.

That's a little high, even for a next gen system. 360 games are normally about 70 CND for 3rd party, and $50 for 1st party. Wii games are supposedly going to be $39/$49.
