Damn thing must be over 20 years old. Everything turned on but no water flowed out of the reservoir. I could hear the pump going. So I unplugged it and took the bottom off. I pulled the plastic hose going from the reservoir to the pump and hooked up a baster of hot water and forced it into the pump. It either loosened a valve or primed it either way it started pumping. Put it back together and ran the system with no grinds to clean everything out. Then I made a demitasse of espresso. mmmn

now I need to fine tune the grind. first batch was smooth but a tad weak had the grind set for the upper end of fine. second batch was just a little too fine and brought out some bitterness. going to set the grinder in the middle of the two other choices and see how it comes out tomorrow morning
