When changing the travel on a Fox DH40, how crucial is it to replace the crush washer? Anything more I should know before I tear apart an awesome, fully functional fork? I am planning on running it in the 6" travel mode on a 2005 Specialized Enduro SX pro. Thanks!

i too had the same question, i emailed fox and they said you dont really need to change it every time you change the travel, basically just change it when it brakes. but if you are going to run it in the 6in mode, why not just get a 36 van? just curious...
LOL just get a 36van... yeah that'll happen real soon.... I have $77 dollars to my name, and I need to make it up to Bilbao for the Maxxis Cup this weekend... There's no way I can even buy new tires, and I'm set on trying to get some UCI points. Thanks for the info on the fork, I'll be shortening this evening after I do my homework.
