i am looking at both of these forks and am wondering if the float is as strong as the TALAS. the adjustable travel is not too big a deal to me. just that it is strong and able to take some abuse.
I have a Fox F80RLT that I have been running for a year. I haven't had any problems with it at all. I have blown several Rock Shox SID forks and Psylos though.
The F80 and the Float are different forks altogether.
TALAS and Float use the same chassis (as well as the Vanilla), and with the lack of all of the extra travel adjust crap inside, the Float might be a bit more durable than the TALAS. If you don't care for travel adjustment, go for the Float, it's more simplistic.
I have both forks, they are identical except for the internals. I don't use the travel adjust so in retrospect I probably should have just gotten 2 Floats.

I have a Talas and I with these 2, I would of gone with the Float, however when I got my Heckler the TALAS was the only RLC air model available in 125mm. I have never adjusted the travel.
