Might not make much of a difference in the long run though as I tend to lock out the front shock on climbs and leave the rear active.

If that's the way you ride I suspect that the Septune/RP3 would work pretty well for you.

i've found the lock-outs for my fox's work wonderfully for pavement and smooth off road.
The blow off only engages when you run thru a pothole or drop, so it's actually pretty convenient. You almost don't even notice it.
i've had a lock out on a Cane Creek Cloud 9 and it maxxed out the rebound so you'd get a "pogo" effect.
Fox shocks are the best air suspension i've ever had.
