i have the sticky feeling on my 2010 40, its not super noticeable. but i havent rebuilt it yet or taken it apart. Ill try it soon then send it back if it doesnt work.

Sure. Take it apart and smooth it up. That damper seal-head can be draggy as hell, as with any closed cartridge damper. Old grungy oil just amplifies this.
