(yes i tried to search but "RC" is too short for the engine and "fox" gets a billion responses)

Okay, so i rode all day Sunday and didn't notice anything. I go to patch my bikes wounds today and there is oil all over the place, and a small pool on the floor. "F*ck, another blown Fox" right?

Well i'm not sure, it seems the threaded part of the shock (where it threads into the part the resevoir is attached to) has come loose and oil has leaked out (a lot).

Can i just add more oil to it? Or is it pressurized. If I can add more, what weight and how much? Should I locktite the threads?

I'd like to avoid sending it back to Fox if at all possible.

And yes, i know the answer is to get an Avalanche, but i'm still working on that:D

I feel your pain - the exact same thing happened to me a month ago.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's as simple as adding oil to it, since the shock is nitrogen-charged. My guess is that a very competent MX shop could add oil and re-pressurize it for you, but I'd be leery of that since they probably have very little experience. On the other hand, they probably would have seen Fox snowmobile shocks, which probably aren't any different.....

I'm going to send mine back to Fox, regretfully. Hope you have better luck on yours....
