Can I just say that Fox Shox is awesome. Not only did they give us new toys this year(the 40 & 36), but they have now stepped in to give the pros some money. That's right Fox Racing Shox will be providing the pro purse for the NMBS for 2005. It won't be alot, but with the whole go-ride bounty and now this it seems that things are turning around :D. Thank you to all the people at Fox for making it happen.

Yeah HELLS YEAH to fox. As if your DHX and 40 and 36 weren't enough the pro purse should bring back that NMBS a good bit. I really just hope that DH would make it on a bigger level, its SUCH a sick sport I dono how more people don't get into it.

According the the fox people. Justin is going back to school, and Anthony is a bike bigwig there now. He will do one or 2 big races (Ste Anne +2 more probably). It is 2 new guys for the regular season.

Between a rock and a hard place.
That's cool!
I wonder if industry companies might be willing to go the contingancy route the way some moto-racing companies do?

If you win running their stuff you get paid. Not a lot, but every bit helps when most racers are working stiffs.

Props to Fox for stepping up, Go-Ride too. It's heartening to see the big names in the industry step up and try to bail the sport out, but saddening at the same time, because it's gotten this bad.

People made an assload of money back in my racing days from guys Like Sachs, all we had to do was use their chains and H2O cages and got paid down to 10th in EXPERT class, DH, Hillclimb or XC. Local races, Nationals, it was awesome.

Such a huge move --- I think it is great for them as a company as well. It seems smarter than better than pouring cash in to one team/racer who might do well. Spend some much needed cash and get love from the whole North American DH community.

Yep, that was Helen, GA in 1995. Maxxis was also tossing out Dh tires like they were stickers!!
That was the first time I set eyes on your wife on the podium...and said hey, who's that? I thought all these chics were ugly? :p
