Both the bolts and the reducers for my Fox Vanilla RC shock are going in my Balfa BB7. I have been able to find the 70mm M8 1.25 bolts, but not even mcmaster.com or granger.com seems to have reducers that are 50mm long, with 12mm outer diameter and 8mm diameter inner diameter.

Anybody know where to get these at? I'm getting the impression that the mount hardware for shocks is the job of the bike frame manufacturer, but in my case, that doesn't help me. :(

You're most likely going to have to go to a bike related online store or your local bike shop (LBS) to get what you need. Mcmaster and Grainger are construction based companies and aren't likely to carry bike specific hardware. By default, Home Depot, Lowes, True Value, and most auto repair parts stores are a bust as well. Good luck.

It's probably not something they would have in stock. Something like that would be a special order. Most likely they won't be able to order exactly what you want but something slightly longer. In which case, it would be up to you to file it down and fit it.

I'm pretty sure there are more LBS's than performance in MD. You can also try these online stores. For something this specific speak to a representative. Make sure to have a pic ready to email to them for clarification. These four on the west coast have served me well.

(any east coast monkeys wanna chime in with other sites/LBS's?)

Fox had the part :bonk:

The owners manual diagram said the part is called a reducer, but it's actually called the pin. 21$ and a week later till I get my parts!
