Yes, in theory I think that's a good idea. We'll see how fox screws this up, maybe with a CTD lever on the 40 or something. Above, I was just saying out loud that I expect more skin of my soft-porn. I get the idea though.re the fork
i think this would be a great option as an alternative to the 40. leave the 40 with the air spring, and give this thing the coil and either an open bath damper or the rc2 damper (two levels).
You mean an 888 RC2 Ti Evo 2-Sti R or whatever it was called? An open bath 40 would be sweet, or am I a luddite? Buttery ooohh...
this is a SJW free zone! keep it that way!NSFW...oh well. Ironic that the industry and marcozzi sought to sell only to lustful men, thereby perpetuating and being complicit in the continuing sausage fest that is mtb. Here are some pictures of sexy women...to keep women out of the sport.
My beat down trailbike uses a 44rc3 ti. It's as stiff as a noodle but it works like a charm.I hear ya. I went from a 34 CTD to a 350 NCR and I'll never look back. Those CTD dampers are focused on IMBA style trails for sure.
Yup. Been there, done that.My beat down trailbike uses a 44rc3 ti. It's as stiff as a noodle but it works like a charm.
There was one...I still have the damper. Non-adjustable compression with external LSR. Wasn't a bad damper, but the FIT cart is worlds better. Plus adjustability. I had a 888CR before the 40 and really liked that fork. Needed a firmer spring, but the damper worked reasonably well and the smoothness was light years ahead of RS or fox.An open bath 40 would be sweet, or am I a luddite? Buttery ooohh...
As another benefit, the CR cartridge is super easy to service. There was one...I still have the damper. Non-adjustable compression with external LSR. from what i recall it was partially this, but more that marzocchi stuff would be focused on OEM at the low to mid level.Wasn't the plan for Marzocchi to become a more freeride oriented and lower priced brand in the Fox family? Can't wait to see how that works out, because when Fox attempts to make products that are a little less than ludicrously expensive, you get CTD and Fit dampers.
The biggest earnings for Fox with the Zokez acquisition came from a couple of patents. The sooner the general public forgets about the Marzocchi brand the better for Fox.from what i recall it was partially this, but more that marzocchi stuff would be focused on OEM at the low to mid level.
that seems logical to me, but I don't see the flaw of a little in-house competition. When 90% of bikes ship with a 40 or Boxxer, why not make a 444 that comes close to (but not as nice as) what the 40 RAD can?from what i recall it was partially this, but more that marzocchi stuff would be focused on OEM at the low to mid level.

eh whatever, I'm on a coil 40 and 26" wheels, so what do I know about marketing.
