What’s the difference between frame of p2 (I herd p2 and p3 frames are the same just different components) in years 04-05

There is no difference in the frame of all the current (A1) p.bikes. The p.street and p.1 Cro-Mo also share the same frame.

I was thinking of ordering 05 p3 frame with p2 components. I like white color over the one p2 comes with. I have yet to ask a guy in my lbs about this, but do you think it will be possible for shop to order this for me?

Most likely not as a complete bike. You can get the frame and the components seperately, and then have them build it for you, but that is $$$$, even if you build it yourself.

Good luck!

Since the P.3 is available as a frame only technically your LBs *could* do this....

Buuuuut it will cost you more than just getting a p.3 in the first place since even shop wholesale is much more than the Specialized OEM cost on parts. Just get a p.3, do what you have to do. A lot of shops offer financing, one of our local shops offers 0% right now, can't beat that!

You can buy the P.3 as a built up bike.

One difference is that they offset the rear on the 2005 frame 6mm for a 0-dish wheel.

Well, according to Specialized's website info, the geometry has changed between 04' and 05's. Heck, I think it has changed with the earlier model years according to the site too if I can remember right.

Of course that's probably Specialized's marketing department since everytime I saw their rep I would ask them to make the top-tube longer on the P.bikes so most normal to tall folks could fit them better :oink:
