does anybody else think that a small frame shouldnt cost asmuch as a large frame because you really getting less then if you get a large. im not saying it should be a huge difference but maybe like a 100$. do any companys do this?
No cause then I would get the shaft.

That's absolutely ridiculous. The cost of a bike is not depedent upon a few inches of extra/less tubing.

The costs lie in forming/shaping/extruding the tubes into the correct shape, cutting them (to whatever size), and the labor to weld them together into a frame; the amount of extra material cost between an extra small and an extra large is almost negligible.

Good try though

well im guessing you ride a large, so do u but i guess i didnt make this clear lets make an example of the yeti as-x ok a large is 1300 then a medium would be like 1200 and a small would be 1100. so that way i really dont se how anybody would be getting shafted because if you think about it the small guys are getting shafted right now so im just trying to even the playing field so to say

Read Matt D's post again. The tiny amount of tubing difference between the frame sizes does not affect frame price by ANY significant amount - I bet manufacturer's cost difference is less than $5 between the sizes.

You're forgiven, just don't let anything like that happen again.

You don't pay more less for larger shoes or pants. Why should you a bike?

Then again. YOu do pay extra to biggie size your meal... you might be on to something. "Yeti ASX supersized for 0.39 please"

Another problem, for some people anyway, is that if smaller frames were cheaper, they would be motivated to buy the wrong size frame. But I wouldn't worry too much about that happening.
