I'm looking for a seller/supplier of 4130 steel tubing to be used for frame fabrication. Can any of the frame builders out there recommend anyone, preferably in Canada? I'm looking to do some prototyping so order numbers will be small. So far, from my research on the net, it looks like a do-it-yourself aircraft supply store might be my safest bet.

Not Canada but http://www.novacycles.com and http://www.henryjames.com are your two best bets.

Both sell mid to high end bicycle specific tubing and parts, which will be significantly more expensive than untreated straight-gauge 4130, but also much lighter, stronger, and more properly sized for a bike frame.

Check www.mcmaster.com You'll find 4130 tubing on page 3385 (enter 3385 in the search box in the upper left) for pretty reasonable prices. It's not going to be as good as the stuff Ohio recommended though. Shipping is pretty reasonable in the states but I'm not sure about Canada.
