are you sure? as far i know you pay to download a ringtone, and then you're golden...you may want to look elsewhere.

If you want MP3s, you'll need to have bluetooth and the new generation of motorola phones (to my knowledge). I know the 8000 and 8100 will do it, and others may, but I'm not sure which.

There's the tutorial. That site will probably tell you which phones are MP3 capable as well.

You guys could also try out www.xingtone.com. This program costs $20 to download, but it lets you convert any mp3 file into a ringtone, then sends it to your phone. You need to have wireless web on your phone for it to work, but it's pretty nifty. It's not perfect, and not every mp3 will sound good playing from your phone, but I think it is well worth the $20. If nothing else, it's just fun to play around and edit songs and make new ringtones.

a workmate actually commented yesterday that my phone was 'so old'... i promptly told him i didn t really give and sh1t and that i found it to be a ball and chain...
