Ok, so I've got an older set of Sidi Genius road shoes, I think they're the Genius 3 or so.
Shoes are size 46 I think. Anyway, if you're around a 12 or so, they should work fine.
I am fortunate enough to not have to worry about cycling shoes, in fact, I probably have more shoes than I'll ever need. So, pay it forward, right?
These probably have a couple of hundred miles in them, they've been sitting for a couple of years in a box, waiting to be ridden again. Currently have a pair of brand new Look KEO cleats installed.
Anyway, I'm hoping that someone here might be riding their road bike with some MTB shoes and pedals, and this would be great for them.
Now to the * part. I'll ship 'em for free, but I thought it might be fun to trade for a DVD or something, I'd love the Simpsons movie or something... :)
And hell, I'll even toss in a used pair of KEO Classic pedals to snap those cleats into!

Sorry if this is "spam" in this forum, but I thought the road folks might enjoy first crack at 'em.

Didn't really mean this post to be this long!
And if anyone thinks this is kind of lame, let me know and I'll take it down. Just figured it'd be better than throwing them away...

I have some nice Italian-made Nike shoes with carbon soles, same deal. Never ridden off road:

RFXrJoe- your PM box is full.
To answer your questions: The Sidi shoe is road only, there is no tread on the sole, and they're not really designed to be walked in.
The Nike is much better, though the carbon sole makes them a bit stiffer to walk in than normal or DH shoes, but a lot better power transfer to the pedals.

Also, reason I'm doing this is that I trust a Monkey, I don't expect I'd ship them to someone and have them bone me over, especially over a small thing like this.

Prefer a post in the thread if you want 'em, I don't check my PMs all that often...

Update, the MTB shoe model is the Carnerso, retail was $250.
I have used these about 20x riding around town, to the store, work, etc.
I cannot ride Nike cycling shoes any more though, work obligations...

I wear 46's! and could use a nice set of Road Shoes ?

Don't have the Simpsons Movie ( but that could be arranged ) I do Have Wedding crashers , Fast tiems at Ridgemont high , Blazzing saddles , etc .

Splat lives about 1/2 hour away from my school.....if he winds up getting the other pair feel free to send both to his place. That way I can grab mine from him during a ride sometime and save you some $$$ in shipping.

They're yours! Would you like the pedals too?
If you don't mind arranging it, I wouldn't mind the Simpsons! :)
Joe, I don't mind shipping them separately, no worries there.
Splat, PM me your address, I can get them going on Monday if that's ok.

Forgot, have one more pair.
Shimano shoes, were their top-end model a couple of years ago, carbon soles.
A little beat up, but in good shape, wore them about 15 times or so, haven't worn 'em in about 2 years probably...
Size 46, or course.
Anyone want 'em?

Bummer they aren't 45s. I have liked those well for 2 years plus.

IAB wears them. I wonder what size for him.

Argh!! I only wish I had seen this sooner. I have road shoes but my mountain shoes are too big and were purchased before I knew a damn thing about cycling shoes. I ride a 46 Nike road shoe so I can only imagine that the mountain shoe would have fit the same way. Very generous.

Any one have 46 nikes to trade for a 47 Specialized? haha

Did the shoes ever Get shipped ?
They should have, but I've been out sick with bronchitis all week, so I can't check with the warehouse.
Sometimes personal stuff tends to get left to the side in the rush, but I'll hopefully be in this afternoon, and I'll shoot you all PMs...
