Well, to a point..

Controversial Muslim cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri has been jailed for seven years after he was found guilty of inciting murder and race hate.

"You are entitled to your views and in this country you are entitled to express them, but only up to the point where you incite murder or use language calculated to incite racial hatred. That is what you did."

Well, we do put restrictions on free speech when they infringe on the rights of others. For instance, one can not go into a crowded theater and yell, "Fire!" We certainly also put restrictions on those that incite violence. It's done on a case by case basis (else the KKK would not be allowed to hold rallies) but it is done. If you tell someone to commit murder, and they do it, you are also held culpable by the law.

A bit different to not liking what someone says but being prepared to die to defend their right to say it then?

If he did he'd be an idiot. He actually told people to arm themselves and kill other people, and I note, provided material support to that process, whereas the cartoon are just cartoons, and contain no instructions to kill anyone, not do they conceal weapons and false identities.

Yeah, he certainly would be. I'm not disputing that. I'm just wondering if he sees it that way.
